Thule K-Guard 840
The Thule 840 - K-Guard Kayak Carrier has an innovative side load tilt assist and integrated security for carefree kayak transport. This award winning, European design is best suited for narrow hulls such as those found on touring kayaks.
Ease of Use
The Thule K-Guard is designed for side loading and the innovative tilt action keeps the lift height to a minimum while simplifying the positioning of the kayak. The crescent shape of the cradles use protective, grippy UV resistant rubber to protect and stabilize your narrow hull kayak.
Security
The K-Guard saddles are attached to the load bars with quick and easy wing knobs that have a locking slide collar to prevent loosening of the knob. This configuration of the K-Guard includes standard 12 foot cam buckle straps with rubber bumper protectors. Locking straps are not included, though they are available separately or with the preconfigured Thule 833 - K-Guard with Locking Straps.
Load Bar Compatibility
The carriers have multipal load bar attachment options. For those with Thule AeroBlade load bars, the K-Guard will utilize the t-slot channels for the most integrated attachment. Also included is Thule Square bar hardware and Thule's Uni-Mount hardware to adapt the carrier to most factory load bars.
