Shell

Shell is a multinational British oil production group, one of the six or seven largest non-state energy companies (called supermajors in the English financial press).

Shell was created in 1907 when the Dutch Royal Dutch Petroleum Company and the British The "Shell" Transport and Trading Company joined. Until 2005, when a merger created Royal Dutch Shell, Shell operated as a twin company, with both the British and Dutch companies maintaining separate legal status and being listed on the stock exchange, but operating as part of a joint partnership. From 2005 to 2022, the group had its headquarters in The Hague and its registered office in London. In January 2022, Shell completely relocated its head office to London and the company got its current name.

Shell is one of the largest companies in the world and was in the Fortune Global 500 list of companies with the highest sales revenue every year from 2001 to 2019. As of 2020, the group operates in 99 countries.
